Students go to school in fear

That men with guns are everywhere

For their lost friends they are crying

The officials with power to protect them 

don't even care.   Kids are aware

And they will NOT be silent

Students should be having fun

They should be free to play and run

instead of hunkered down in shooter drills

We must heed their cries, 

and we always need to strive:
